Account security and recovery

Security connects the SpecTestEngine account to provider-managed passkeys, passwords, multifactor authentication, recovery codes, and recovery workflows.

What you can do

  • Review available authentication factors and account security posture.
  • Add or manage passkeys on supported devices and keep password access available as recovery.
  • Use email-backed recovery and provider-managed security actions when a device is unavailable.

Starts with

  • An authenticated identity or a verified recovery flow.
  • A compatible authenticator for passkeys, or email and password recovery when passkeys are unavailable.

Produces

  • Updated account authentication factors and recovery posture.
  • A supported password path for devices without passkey capability.

Use it when

  • Use Security when adding a factor, recovering access, or reviewing account protection.
  • Use Project Administration for authorization and team permissions rather than authentication.
